Mike and Carol Petersen are observing their 50th wedding anniversary. Mike Petersen and Carol Beenken were married August 21, 1965 at the Sacred Heart Church in Grundy Center.

Mike retired as a partner in Petersen and Sons Construction and Carol retired from Lincoln Savings Bank.

Their family includes daughter Chris and Scott Schildroth and granddaughters Jill (Ryan Collins) Schildroth of Cedar Falls and Jenny Schildroth of Reinbeck.
