Garry & Colleen Hansen of Hudson, Iowa are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Katie Lynn Hansen, to Austin David Schantz, son of David and Regina Schantz of Washington, Iowa.

Katie is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Kinesiology; Health and Fitness and a minor in Child, Adult and Family Services. She is currently a teacher for Bright Horizons in Everett, Washington.

Austin is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He is currently an aerodynamics engineer at Boeing in Everett, Washington.

The wedding is set for August 23rd, 2014.
