Nadja Nickol and David Keller Double ceremonyNadja Nickol daughter of Dr. Walter and Dr. Yindra Nichol of Daaden, Germany and David Keller son of Bink and Karen Keller of Forest City, Iowa were married January 25, 2008 in Daaden, Germany and repeated their wedding vows May 31, 2008 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City, Iowa. A civil ceremony was performed by the magistrate in Daaden, Germany on January 25, 2008. A private lunch was held in the Knights’ Room at the Friedewald Castle located near Daaden in the town of Friedewald. An evening reception and dance was held in Neiderdreisbach, a neighboring village. Maid of Honor was Annette Trippler and best man was Sebastian Buening. Relatives attending from the United States were Bink and Karen Keller and David’s grandmother Eloise Keller of Reinbeck, Iowa.Pastor Barb Spaulding performed the United States ceremony at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City, Iowa on May 31, 2008. Laura Schmidt and Jennifer Jenkins sisters of the groom served the bride as Matrons of Honor. Alex Hauan and Brian Stugelmeyer friends of the groom served as best men. Flower girls were Megan Schmidt and Ellie Jenkins, nieces of the groom. Jonathan Schmidt, nephew of the groom served as Acolyte. Trumpet Voluntary was played by Dave Rutt. A choir ensemble of 12 former Luther College Nordic choir members sang “All My Heart This Night Rejoices”, “Amore De Mi Alma” and “O Lord God”. Organist was Ryan Hulshizer, pianist was Todd Cavell. Ushers were Brandon Caswell, Ryan Young, Evan Thimmesch, and Jake Graff. Wedding gift host was Zack Zubow and Wedding book host was Nate Preus.A wedding dinner reception was held in the Atrium at Waldorf College with Bill and Yvonne Keller, aunt and uncle of the groom serving as host and hostess. Dinner pianist was Todd Cavell. David showed a slide show of David and Nadja’s time in Germany. Following dinner there was a Dance at The Lodge with Ryan Hulshizer’s DJ service.Guests from Germany at the Forest City wedding were Nadja’s parents and two brother’s Jon and Michael.Nadja holds a masters degree in Hydrology from the University of Freiburg, Frieburg, Germany. She currently works as a hydrologist in Freiburg. She will be locating to Springfield Massachusetts for employment.David graduated from Forest City High School in 2002. David graduated with a B.A. from Luther College in 2006. He is currently in Law school at Western New England College of Law in Springfield, Massachusetts.
