Wayne Jackson was born November 29, 1927 in rural Reinbeck. He married Betty J. Young of Traer on August 15, 1949 and has lived in Ames, Iowa for 57 years where they raised 5 children. He worked for IBM for over 30 years. They have 9 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren across Iowa, Illinois, Colorado and Texas.
