Willa Ruth (Wagner) (Hunter) Smith will be celebrating her 95th birthday on Sunday, December 15, 2013, from 2-4 p.m. at New Aldaya Lifescapes Main Street in Cedar Falls.

Willa is the daughter of the late Dr. Wm. C. and Martha (Powell) Wagner. She graduated from Traer High School; attended Coe College and then graduated from Iowa State with a degree in dietetics. In the 1960’s she attended the University of Northern Iowa and attained a B.A. and then an M.A. in Music Education. She taught choral music in the Reinbeck Comm. School system for 15 years.

She was married to Blair E. Hunter (1941-1970) and Ray Smith (1978-1990). Hosts for this event are her daughter Jo Ruth (Hunter) Capoccioni and her grandson Hunter David Capoccioni, both of Waterloo.
