Duane Habben will celebrate his 80th birthday with an open house on June 21 from 2 to 4 at the Dike Community Building.

Duane was born June 21, 1929 and grew up in Reinbeck. He is the son of the late Ed and Grace Habben. He attended Iowa State University, then farmed and sold insurance.

Hosting the event will be his wife, Betty, and three children, Connie (Francisco) Lopez of Chandler, Arizona, Juli (Tim) Kopriva of Dike, and Ann (Paul) O’Connor of rural Reinbeck. Duane and Betty have seven grandchildren.
