Grundy County Public Health will be hosting a free vaccine clinic at the Grundy County Fair on Friday, July 16.

The clinic will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the gazebo on the fairgrounds in Grundy Center and is available to persons age 12 and older.

The two-dose Pfizer vaccine (for anyone 12 years and older) along with the one dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine (for those 18 years and older) will be available.

This opportunity is open to the public.

Statistics and data have proven that the vaccines are safe and effective. Nationally, counties with lower vaccination rates are experiencing a resurgence of the virus, notably among younger people. New variants are popping up and vaccination rates are slowing with more than 3,000 Grundy County adults who are eligible to receive the shot still unvaccinated.
