MC CALLSBURG — The GMG softball team broke a scoreless tie with two runs in the sixth inning of its 4-0 win over Colo-NESCO in Wednesday’s (June 24) Iowa Star Conference South Division clash.

Skyler Murty went 2-for-3 with a run scored and Natalie Upah was 2-for-3 with a double and a run to lead GMG (8-12, 6-8). Kaylee Beach doubled in a run while Addison Elmore singled and scored for the Wolverines, who claimed their third-straight win.

Winning pitcher Riah Boege struck out 16 and allowed only two hits to the host Royals (0-16, 0-12).
