LE GRAND – The Gladbrook-Reinbeck boys track and field team competed at the NICL Conference meet hosted by East Marshall on Thursday, May 7, in Le Grand. This conference is highly regarded as one of the top conferences in the state for 1A/2A competition. State champions come out of the NICL. We were very pleased as coaches with the way the boys performed. We placed in five events, set nine personal records and had season’s bests in four relays. The highlight of the relays was the 4×100 quartet of Treyvon Herron, Cole Gramer, Keegan Hurley and Hudson Clark just missing the school record – we ran 45.75 and the school record is 45.53. That being said, many other good times were run in relays!

It was great to see these times. Many of these athletes have invested a lot into this and are starting to see some payback. They have done the work and we appreciate it as coaches. Another shoutout to parents who have provided food and beverages for these athletes and also the support you have given them when competing on the track. I know these kids appreciate it and recognize when you are cheering them on. Thanks to everybody who is involved with helping us get better and feel good about being a part of this team.
