Brant leads Lady Rebels at Harry Dole Classic

GRUNDY CENTER – The Gladbrook-Reinbeck girls track and field team competed at the Harry Dole Classic Coed Friday, May 1, in Grundy Center.

Highlights include:

-Kennedy Brant had an outstanding night, medaling in all four of her events with three first-place finishes and one silver finish, including a season PR in the 400-meter dash.

-Ryanne White contributed valuable team points in the long jump, finishing just one inch shy of her PR, and also set a new personal best in the 200-meter dash.

-Cadence Danner-Roderick and Bri Carly both posted personal bests in the 100-meter dash.

-Karli Heasley delivered a huge improvement in the 400-meter dash, dropping an incredible 12 seconds for a new PR.

-Dally Nicholas recorded PRs in both the shot put and discus, and stepped into a new event – the 400-meter dash – where she ran a strong race.

-Emelyn Le Strat competed in just her second-ever meet, taking on the 200-meter dash.

-A special shoutout to the 4×100 relay team of Ryanne White, Katelyn Monaghan, Cadence Danner-Roderick, and Dally Nicholas. Their hard work on handoffs paid off – they finished just 0.01 seconds shy of a PR.

As of this writing, the girls have three meets remaining. I’m proud of the progress they’ve made and excited to see what they accomplish in the coming weeks.
