Rebel highlights from the 2026 Boys Dickinson Relays

CEDAR FALLS – On Monday, March 9, the Rebel boys track and field team competed at the Dickinson Relays in the UNI-Dome. The meet consists of teams from every class, 1A through 4A. We had 16 athletes compete at this meet. Basically, the meet was used as a benchmark to see where we are as a team after one week of practice.

Being it’s the first meet of the season, it can be difficult to set personal records but we did set a few, including:

-Joe Wolf, Sr.: Shot put, 35-1 3/4

-Jude Larson, Jr.: 400-meter dash, 60.21 seconds

-Macklin Clark. Fr.: 400-meter split, 57.82 seconds

It was also good to see our 4×400 run the best time we have run in the last two years. Hudson Clark, Macklin Clark, Jude Larson, and Bennet Sieh ran 3:54.61 which was five seconds faster than our PR last season.

Overall, it was a good start to our season and it’s a day to day process of working on improvement. Many of our times and distances by our athletes are ahead of where we started last year.

The attitude, effort and support of our teammates was good all night and we improved upon our stretching and cool downs from a season ago. Much of this is because of our senior leadership. We look forward to our next indoor meet which is Tuesday, March 24, at Wartburg.
