TRAER — The GMG boys basketball team saw their season come to a tough close on Monday, Feb. 16, during a Class 1A District 3 quarterfinal in Traer as the North Tama Redhawks notched a narrow 60-57 win.

The clash marked the third meeting this season between the Iowa Star South rivals. Statistics were not available for either team as of press time.

GMG ends the 2025-26 season 13-9, 7-5 in division play, while North Tama (14-8) moved on to face East Marshall (16-6) this past Thursday, Feb. 19, in a district semifinal game in Le Grand.
