LA PORTE CITY – During the Saturday, Oct. 4, Union volleyball invitational, Gladbrook-Reinbeck standouts Kennedy Brant and Kailey Larsen both reached career milestones with senior Brant recording her 500th career dig and junior Larsen reaching her 2,000th career assist. The Class 1A No. 8 Rebels notched a notable win on Saturday over 1A No. 14 Dunkerton, defeating the Raiders 2-1 (16-21, 21-13, 15-8). Brant racked up seven digs and five blocks against Dunkerton to lead the Rebel defense; she also helped lead the offense with 11 kills. Larsen had a team-leading 18 assists and five aces for G-R.
