MCCALLSBURG – The GMG softball team scored its second Iowa Star Conference victory with a 4-3 triumph on Friday, May 30, at Colo-NESCO.

The Wolverines (2-1, 2-1) got a 13-strikeout showing from freshman pitcher Riah Boege, who allowed two hits and three unearned runs while walking four. Colo-NESCO’s No. 9 hitter Landrey Harris – an eighth-grader – had all of the Royals’ hits and scored two of three runs.

Taelyn Sash, Natalie Upah and Tatum Jones – all eighth-graders – each had a hit for the Wolverines, including an RBI double for Jones. Boege also had an RBI single, while Upah scored two runs.
