GARWIN — The GMG girls’ basketball team shut out Twin Cedars for its first win of the season, beating the Sabers 54-0 on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Makayla Pendleton and Arianna Pierce both had double-doubles to lead GMG (1-2). Pendleton had 16 points and 11 rebounds, while Pierce had 16 points and 10 boards. Rhianna Murty also had 11 rebounds, and Madison Bryant added six points off the bench.

Twin Cedars lost its first game after not fielding a varsity girls basketball squad last winter.
