Lady Rebels compete at South Hardin Invite

ELDORA — West Marshall freshman Dalaney Eldridge finished third overall to lead area competitors at a South Hardin Invite at Pine Lake Golf Course on Thursday, Sept. 5.

Eldridge clocked in at 22:10. Jesup’s Mackenzie Wilson won in 20:27 and Hudson’s Mollie Hansen was the runner-up at 21:52.

Trojan teammate Addie Thompson added a seventh-place finish in 23:06. Other area top-10 finishers were Grundy Center’s Grace Storjohann in fourth in 22:29 and BCLUW’s Kalia Stover and Abby Kemp, placing eighth in 23:11 and ninth in 23:14, respectively.

Grundy Center had the top area team finish, scoring 84 points for third place. Evelyn Geerdes was 14th in 24:08, Maddy Hendershot finished 17th in 24:31, Makenna Steinmeyer was 25th in 25:24 and Karlee Lynch placed 28th in 25:43.

BCLUW was fifth with 116 points and West Marshall seventh with 159 points.

North Tama scored 250 points in 10th place, led by Rachael Murty in 26th in 25:33.

East Marshall’s Ava Hendricks placed 40th overall in 26:31, Gladbrook-Reinbeck’s Katelyn Monaghan finished in 125th in 36:50. The Mustangs and Rebels did not field full teams on Thursday.
