LE GRAND — Wyatt Stalzer went 2-0 with a pair of pins to lead the East Marshall/GMG/Meskwaki wrestling team, which debuted Thursday, Nov. 30 with a 1-1 split in a North Iowa Cedar League triangular.ened with a win over Oelwein, hammering the Huskies 58-21. Stalzer’s first-period pin over Spencer Michels at heavyweight was the first match of the dual and started EM/GMG on a five-match winning streak.

The Mustangs also got pins from Nathan Coon (120), Xavier Slifer (138) and John Edel (215), and Drew Wheater (190) won by major decision.

Stalzer accounted for EM/GMG’s only match victory in a 39-36 loss to AGWSR. Stalzer pinned Clayton Van Loh in 3:23, while the Mustangs’ other five wins came by forfeit.
