GC/G-R boys soccer add two more wins

VINTON — Grundy Center/Gladbrook-Reinbeck boys soccer remained undefeated with a 1-0 win against Vinton-Shellsburg and a 2-0 victory over Independence at Vinton-Shellsburg High School last Saturday.

The Rebels, ranked No. 1 in Class 1A, needed overtime in the win against the Vikings before Isaac Clark delivered the golden goal, unassisted.

Austin Betts scored both goals for GC/G-R in the match against the Mustangs, both times on assists by Tyler Nolder. Isaac Clark also had an assist.

Goalkeeper Max Anderson made one save in each game, the Rebel defense now up to 10 shutouts this season.
