GMG’s Mathern ties for first at Bear Classic
BROOKLYN — GMG’s Dylan Mathern and East Marshall’s Morgan Neuroth claimed individual gold at the Bear Classic at BGM High School on Friday, April 21.
Mathern won the 800 with a time of 2:51.23. Neuroth was the 400-meter hurdle champion in 1:16.68.
Both runners competed in the Class A competition; East Marshall was third in the six-team field with 92 points while GMG placed fifth with 64 points.
Neuroth added three more golds as part of the winning 4Ö400, 4Ö800 and shuttle hurdle relay teams. GMG placed second to the Mustangs in the shuttle hurdle in the Wolverines’ best relay finish of the night.
