GMG’s Adelyn Sienknecht pitched a four-hit shutout and her courtesy runner scored the game’s only run as the Wolverine softball team topped Colo-NESCO 1-0 in the June 3, Iowa Star Conference clash.

Sienknecht struck out seven, allowed four singles and didn’t walk a batter in the complete-game victory. She also hit a one-out double in the fourth, and courtesy runner Dylan Mathern later came around to score on a passed ball.

Abby Parks, Kennadi Sederburg, Marriah Stonewall and Maecyn Lewis each hit singles for GMG (3-3, 3-1), which swept the season series from Colo-NESCO.

Losing pitcher Callie Kohlwes had two of Colo-NESCO’s four hits. She struck out four and didn’t walk a batter for the Royals (1-6, 1-3).
