The Grundy Center/Gladbrook-Reinbeck boys cross country team is back in familiar territory.

After finishing third at their state-qualifying district meet in Gowrie last Thursday, the GC/G-R boys will head back to the state cross country meet to compete this Saturday.

Out of a field of 15 schools the boys squad ended with a point total of 72 thanks to top 20 finishes from Ethan Sadler, Kaden Lynch, Brennen Sager, Soren Cleveland and Paul Brockett.

The team will run this Saturday at Kennedy Park in Fort Dodge at 3:15 p.m.

On the girls side, the GC/G-R team will send one runner to the state meet this weekend.

Senior Taylor Stahl qualified with a 14th place finish after beating out two competitors by less than a second at the finish line.
