The GMG Wolverines volleyball team captured their sixth win of the season in a 3-0 victory over Colo-NESCO on Sept. 30.

The win broke a seven game losing streak dating back to the team’s home tournament on Sept. 11.

Through all three sets against Colo, GMG stayed in command. The Royals’ best effort came in the first set which GMG won 25-20. The margin increased in the second and third however as the Wolverines took set two 25-17 and set three 25-18.

Sophomore Adelyn Sienknecht was the kills leader for GMG with six, followed by Marriah Stonewall, Jenna Yilek and Kennadi Sederburg who each had four.

Stonewall also had a dynamite performance from the service line, putting across a team-high seven aces. Freshman Olivia Maddux also had a nice outing leading the team with 17 successful serves to go along with four aces.
