DIKE – Freshman 113-pounder Trey Lashbrook was the only AGWSR wrestler to advance through Saturday’s Class 1A Sectional 3 meet, taking second place without having to wrestle back.

Lashbrook (37-3) defeated Dike-New Hartford’s Dylan Ohrt by an 8-2 decision in the semifinals before falling to seventh-ranked Michael McClelland of Don Bosco in the second period of the finals. Ohrt came back through in the consolation, awarding the runner-up spot to Lashbrook automatically.

AGWSR’s Zach Johnson placed fourth at 120, while Ali Gerbract was fifth at 106.

Lashbrook will wrestle at next Saturday’s District 2 meet at Jesup.
