TRAER – Gladbrook-Reinbeck/North Tama’s Zade Podjahsky emerged as 170-pound champion in front of his hometown crowd at Saturday’s RebelHawk Invitational.

GRNT placed second as a team with 103 points, trailing only Hudson (187) in the five-team, round-robin individual tournament.

Podhajsky pinned both of his opponents in the first period, flattening Pleasantville’s Max Hinners in 1:31 and Hudson’s Ivan Wilson in 1:50.

Cole Engel (113), Ashton Bradley (120), Jace Peterson (132) and Noah Weber (145) each scored second place in their respective weights.
