West Marshall defeats Rebel softball
STATE CENTER – The top four hitters in West Marshall’s lineup had a double among their two hits and Kylie Cripps hit a three-run home run to help the Class 3A No. 10 Trojans take down Gladbrook-Reinbeck 12-2 in five innings here Tuesday night.
Georgia Porter, Kayla Cripps, Renae Schaper and Karisa Blocker each had two hits, Kylie Cripps drove in a total of four runs, and Katie Price had two RBIs as West Marshall (22-2, 8-1) rapped out 13 hits including six doubles.
All the offense made a winner out of Grace Porter, who pitched 4 2/3 innings for the Trojans. She struck out three, walked none, and allowed two runs on seven hits. Payton Halverson struck out the final batter in the top of the fifth.
