Kickbush pushes Rebels past Indians

REINBECK – Caden Kickbush went the distance on the mound for the second time in as many starts, and his five-hitter helped Gladbrook-Reinbeck turn back Clarksville 7-3 in Tuesday’s non-conference affair.

Kickbush struck out five, walked one, and allowed three runs on five hits to improve to 2-0 on the mound this season for the Rebels (7-6). G-R trailed 3-2 before scoring five times in the bottom of the sixth inning to take the lead.

Tyler Tscherter, Joe Smoldt and Mason Skovgard had two hits apiece to lead G-R’s 11-hit attack. Alex Tscherter was 1-for-4 with a run and two RBIs, while Keagan Giesking had a pinch-hit, RBI double for the Rebels.
