GLADBROOK – Kodie Hoskey struck out seven in a three-hitter as the East Marshall softball team came back from an early deficit to defeat Gladbrook-Reinbeck 9-3 in NICL West Division play.

Melinda Puumala, Madison Farrington and Hannah Birks each had two hits for the Mustangs, including a double for Birks. Amber Martenson contributed an RBI single in the fifth inning that gave East Marshall (8-9, 3-3) the lead for good against Gladbrook-Reinbeck (0-19, 0-5).
