No. 1 Gladbrook- Reinbeck goes to 5-0
REINBECK – Joe Smoldt tallied team-highs of 25 points, 11 assists and six steals as the Class 1A No. 1 Gladbrook-Reinbeck boys’ basketball team improved to 5-0 with a 67-36 whitewashing of Janesville here Monday night.
The Rebels outscored the Wildcats 26-11 in the opening quarter and then held Janesville (2-5) scoreless in the second period to carry a 36-point lead into halftime.
Caden Kickbush contributed 16 points and three steals, while Thomas Mussig had 10 points and seven boards for G-R. Walker Thede chipped in eight points, Matt Roeding had six more, and Mason Skovgard led the Rebels with 10 rebounds.
