Mustangs’ Hoskey nets 200th win
GLADBROOK – With his daughter on the mound, Jary Hoskey tallied his 200th win Monday night, coaching the East Marshall girls’ softball team to a 13-0 win (five innings) against Gladbrook-Reinbeck.
Eighth-grader Kodie Hoskey, Jary’s daughter, pitched 11 strikeouts in the Mustangs’ (1-0) first win of the season. Jary said the milestone was extra special with his daughter getting the win.
Madison Farrington, a freshman, had two hits and a double; Maria Rasmussen tallied two hits and a double and junior Amanda Paxton followed suit with two hits and a double as well. Shae Fetters also nabbed a double of her own.
The Mustangs will host Fort Dodge tonight at 6:30 p.m.
