GRUNDY CENTER – The Grundy Center/Gladbrook-Reinbeck girls’ golf team lowered its score for the second time in three meets this season, sweeping all the medals in a 191-238 win over East Marshall here Friday at Town & Country Golf Club.

Seniors Kate Ross and Jill Itzen took medalist and runner-up honors, shooting 46 and 47, respectively, to lead the Spartans to victory. Juniors Sarah and Abby Hockemeyer carded 48 and 50, respectively, to round out the team score.

Bobbi Amendt paced East Marshall with her round of 53, and Tylyn Eicher came in with a 58. Marissa Frese (62) and Amanda Baxton (65) had their scores count as well for the Mustangs.
