Flater leads Grundy girls past G-R
GRUNDY CENTER – Four different players reached double figures for the Grundy Center girls’ basketball team as it won 69-46 against NICL West opponent Gladbrook-Reinbeck on Tuesday.
The Spartans (7-1, 5-0) were led by Brooke Flater with 19 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Maddie McMartin scored 12 points. Katie Lindeman and Alyssa Mathews each added 11 points, with Lindeman leading the team with nine rebounds.
The Rebels (0-7, 0-4) were led by Hayley Weber’s game-high 21 points.
Grundy Center will play Aplington-Parkersburg in a NICL cross-division matchup on Thursday. Gladbrook-Reinbeck will face NICL West opponent AGWSR on Friday.
