REINBECK – Hanna Christopher poured in 15 points and Amber Berendes added 12 as the Gladbrook-Reinbeck girls basketball team held off Aplington-Parkersburg 48-41 in a cross-divisional NICL contest here Tuesday.

Tied at 26 midway through the third, G-R scored eight straight and took a 35-31 cushion into the final frame. Kyleah Dugan opened the fourth with another 3 to secure G-R’s largest lead and their advantage grew as big as 10 down the stretch.

Dugan and Hayley Weber added seven points apiece for the Rebels (11-10).
