G-R Prom Open House Gladbrook-Reinbeck Prom Open House will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011, from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Lincoln AmVet Hall. Introductions for Prom will start approximately 5:30 p.m. Please plan to attend!

Community Breakfast Garwin Revitalization Committee will sponsor a Community Breakfast on Sunday, May 1, serving from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Garwin City Park Shelter House. Menu includes Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, sausage, toast, coffee and juice. All proceeds for community projects. This is a free-will offering.

WOW Group The WOW Group will meet Wednesday, May 4, 6:00 p.m., at the Gladbrook United Methodist Church to carpool to Union for supper.

Gladbrook Commercial Club The Gladbrook Commercial Club will meet on Thurs., May 5th, 6:30 A.M. at Gifts of Grace. The Corn Carnival display will be discussed. Give Carolyn a call if you plan to attend 473-2261.

Gladbrook Auxiliary The Gladbrook Auxiliary Mothers Tea will be held on Mon., May 9th, at 1:30. The 3rd District President will be our guest. The Memorial Service, Graduation Service, and continuous years of membership awards will be presented. Angela Wrage will be providing a musical program. Hostesses are Lady Schmidt, Pat Sievers, Sue Koster, and Maxine Schoel.

Jr. Auxiliary The Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary will be distributing poppies on Wed., May 11th, after school. The kids will meet at the Memorial Building for treats and will be served supper after their territory is finished. Juniors invite your friends to help. Any adults that would like to help give Jeanne a call.

Gladbrook Senior Citizens The Gladbrook Senior Citizens dinner will be hosted by the Gladbrook Women’s Club at Peace Church on Friday, May 13, at 11:30 a.m. Please call Pat Oettchen at (641) 473-2530 by May 7th to make reservations.

Taco Supper Garwin 4th of July Committee will sponsor a taco supper, Friday, May 13, serving from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Garwin City Park Shelter House.

Gladbrook City Wide Garage Sales The Gladbrook City Wide Garage Sales will be held on Saturday, June 4th, 2011. If you are interested in registering a garage sale, please contact Kandi Hendricks by May 28th at 641-750-4156 or by email at kandih@iowatelecom.net. When calling or emailing please have the following information ready: name, address of sale and items for sale. Registration fee is $10 per sale site. Registration forms will also be available at Casey’s.

Siren Testing Garwin Fire Department will test the warning sirens on the 3rd Monday of the month. This will be a year-round policy.
