National Weather Service Tornado Spotters Training Wednesday April 20th, 2011 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM Reinig Toledo Civic Center 1007 Prospect Drive Toledo, Iowa This training is free & open to the public!! Sponsored by Tama County Emergency Management


Community Good Friday Service The Northwest Tama County Ministerial Association will offer a deeply moving service on Good Friday evening, April 22nd, at 7:30 p.m. hosted by Gladbrook United Methodist Church. A community choir will be singing. Everyone is encouraged to attend this service as we prepare ourselves for the coming of Easter. A time of fellowship follows the service.


Community Easter Dawn Service The annual Easter Dawn Service will be hosted by the Gladbrook United Methodist Church Sunday, April 24th at 7 a.m. The service is presented by the senior high youth of our community. There will be a special time with children during the service. A breakfast follows the service, adding to the joy of Easter morning.


Peace Church Easter Worship Come and celebrate that “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today” at Peace Church on Sun., April 24th, at 10:30 a.m. The Easter worship service will be one of vibrant music, lessons, meditation, and a special time with the children. The sanctuary will be beautifully adorn in lilies and colorful mums. The Chancel Choir will be singing and the handbell choir will play “The Day of Resurrection”. After the Children’s Sermon there will be an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids. What a wonderful way to climax Holy Week. Please join us.


The Gladbrook Young Women Easter Egg Hunt Come join us for a Easter Egg Hunt at the Park! Date: Saturday April 23rd, 2011 Time: Hunt begins at 10:00 Place: Gladbrook Park (weather permitting, if raining the Hunt will be at the Gladbrook City Center) Ages: 0-4th Graders All activities are free. Parents are encouraged to stay with their kids.


Garwin Easter Egg Hunt Garwin’s annual Easter Egg hunt will be at the City Park Saturday April 23rd starting at 9:00. Ages pre-school thru 4th grade. In case of bad weather it we be held in the old GMG high school gym. The Easter Egg hunt is sponsored by the Garwin ambulance with donation from the community and businesses.
