Peace Church Senior YF Spaghetti Dinner The Peace Church Senior YF is hosting a Super Spaghetti Dinner at the Peace Church Social Hall, Sunday, February 6th, 10:45am – 1pm. Dinner includes: Lettuce Salad, Spaghetti, Garlic Bread, Dessert, and Drink, for Free Will Donation. Take-Out and Local Deliveries are welcome by calling Peace Church 641-473-2802 the morning of February 6th. All proceeds will be used to help fund the YF Mission Trip to St. Louis in July.


Lincoln Fire Department Omelet Breakfast The Lincoln Fire Department will host their annual Omelet Breakfast on Sunday, February 13, serving from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at the Lincoln Amvet Hall in Lincoln, Iowa.


Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary The Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary will meet on Sat., Feb. 5th, 9:30 at Westbrook Acres to make Valentine ffavors. Chr. are Marilyn Peters, Kim Thompson and Linda Randolph.


Live Healthy Iowa Challenge The Live Healthy Iowa Challenge being sponsored by Gladbrook Fitness and Wellness Center again this year.  Signup has started for the Live Healthy Iowa as the challenge starts January 20th.  Live Healthy Iowa is a 100 day challenge to promote exercise and to engage Iowans in healthy behaviors.  GFWC had a very successful year last year in sponsoring teams and members.  Members of teams pay $20 to register, but the GFWC will re-imburse GFWC members $10 and everyone can get a $5 coupon from HyVee to reduce the cost to $5.  You can go on-line for more information about Live Healthy Iowa at www.LiveHealthyIowa.org and call Lori at City Hall at 641-473-2582 to get signed up.


Daffodil Orders Daffodil orders are now being taken for the American Cancer Society. Orders will be taken through February 11, 2011. Contact Kay Lowry at (641) 473-2625 to place order or for more information.


Crayon Corner Learning Center Valentine Dinner & Dance Crayon corner Learning Center will hold their Valentine Dinner & Dance on Saturday, February 12, 2011 at the Gladbrook Memorial Building. Social hour starts at 6:00 p.m., dinner at 7:00 p.m., dance will be from 8:00 p.m. to midnight. $15.00 per ticket and may be purchased from preschool kids, staff, and board members.


WOW Group The WOW Group will meet Wednesday, February 2, at 11:30 a.m., at Gladbrook United Methodist Church, to carpool to Stones Restaurant in Marshalltown. In case of bad weather dinner will be at the Uptown Lounge in Gladbrook. Any questions please call Kay Lowry at (641) 473-2625.

Siren Testing Garwin Fire Department will test the warning sirens on the 3rd Monday of the month. This will be a year-round policy.
