Badger Hill Cemetery Badger Hill Cemetery will hold their annual meeting Thursday, November 11, 7:30 p.m. at the Gladbrook Ambulance building.


Gladbrook Gals & Guys 4-H Gladbrook Gals & Guys 4-H will be meeting at the Peace church November 14 at 6 p.m. Bring your registration to Claire with your money or check made out to the club. Come hungry because the officers are going to feed us and tell us about the meal and learn about setting the table. Have you answered your invitation to Sonya? Hope to see you there.


Junior Auxiliary The Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary will meet on Sat., Nov. 20th, 9:30 at Westbrook Acres. The Juniors will make favors for the December Senior Citizens Dinner served by the Auxiliary on Dec. 10th at the City Center. Chairmen are Sherry Scarf, Melissa Sienknecht, and Jill Baumeier. The Candlelight Christmas Program will be discussed. This is charied by Lisa Reinhard, Jackie Sherman, and Cynthia Eggers.


Tama County Livestock and Fair Association November Meeting The Tama County Livestock and Fair Association will hold the November Meeting on Monday, November 22, 2010, at 7:00 pm at the Tama County Extension Office, in Toledo.  Fair Book revisions will be discussed as well as judges names for the 2011 County Fair.  Members and any one interested in the Fair are urged to attend.


Gladbrook Women’s Club Gladbrook’s Womens’s Club will meet at the Gladbrook United Methodist Church for the November 11 meeting at 1:30 p.m. The group will welcome Dennis Laverty who will speak about “Telling Your Stories”. Barbara Strohbehn will be hostess.


Olivet Lodge #436 A.F.& A.M. Olivet Lodge #436 A.F.& A.M. will meet Thursday November 11th. Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a dish to share. Meeting at 7:30 p.m.


Gladbrook Legion Pancake Breakfast Come enjoy a pancake breakfast with the Gladbrook Legion in the Memorial Bldg as pheasant season opens on Sunday, November 14th, 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. We have eggs, bisquits/gravy, sausage and drinks too. Come join us as proceeds will benefit the Boys State program.


Gladbrook Tree Lighting Activities & Festival of Trees Gladbrook Tree Lighting activities and Festival of Trees will be Wed., Dec. 1 on Main Street, Gladbrook, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Festival of Trees upstairs in the City Center. Santa Claus will be passing out sacks of goodies! Pictures with Santa and Farmers Market. Trolley rides, popocorn, cider and hot dogs all free beginning at 5:00 p.m.!! Lighting of tree, caroling and prizes at 6:30 p.m. Drawing for prizes.


FALL Into Winter Sale The Gladbrook Young Women will be hosting a FALL Into Winter Sale. The sale will be Saturday November 13, 2010, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Gladbrook Memorial Building.


Siren Testing Garwin Fire Department will test the warning sirens on the 3rd Monday of the month. This will be a year-round policy.


Library Coffee Time Stop in and join us every Friday afternoon at the Gladbrook Public Library at 2 p. m. for coffee and conversation. We might even discuss a book or two. Bring a friend and hopefully brighten your day and ours!! Pat & Karen
