Badger Hill Cemetery Badger Hill Cemetery will hold their annual meeting Thursday, November 11, 7:30 p.m. at the Gladbrook Ambulance building.


Boy Scout Harvest Dinner Sunday, November 7, serving 11 to 1, Memorial Bldg. Tickets $6 – contact any Boy Scout or available at the door. Seasoned Pork Loin, Dinner Potatoes, Green Beans, Pasta Salad, Dinner Roll, Dessert and beverages.


Veterans Day Celebration The Gladbrook Legion & Auxiliary will celebrate Veterans Day on Mon., Nov. 8th with a potluck at 6:30 p.m. Special guests will be the State, District, & County Commanders. There will be a program. Hostesses are Anna Mae Rohweder, Lori Sanderson, and Julie Hooper.


Gladbrook Gals & Guys November 14 Gladbrook Gals & Guys 4-H meeting at Peace church, 6 p,m. We’re having a meal and learn about Place settings. The officers will be serving. Come hungry!! Enrolllment is due to Claire Reinhard with money. If you don’t enroll now you will be paying for your educational material yourself. If you are having trouble filling out, bring to meeting. Leaders will help you


Holiday Open House A Holiday Open House will be held November 5th & 6th, 9:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., at Gifts of Grace, Lucy’s Tole and Day In The Sun in Gladbrook.


Senior Citizen Lunch The second lunch for those 55+ years old will be Fri, Nov 12, at 11:30 am at the Memorial Building. Do not bring food or your table service. Chapel gals are in charge. Call Pat Oettchen, 473-2530, for reservations and if you need a ride by Sat, Nov 6. Come for a great meal and a good time!


Gladbrook Women’s Club Gladbrook’s Womens’s Club will meet at the Gladbrook United Methodist Church for the November 11 meeting at 1:30 p.m. The group will welcome Dennis Laverty who will speak about “Telling Your Stories”. Barbara Strohbehn will be hostess. Community Breakfast Garwin Revitalization Committee is sponsoring a Community Breakfast, Sunday, November 7, serving from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Garwin city park shelter house. Menu includes Belgian waffles, scrambled eggs, biscuits & gravy, sausage, toast, coffee and juice. All proceeds to towards community projects. This is a free-will offering.


Olivet Lodge #436 A.F.& A.M. Olivet Lodge #436 A.F.& A.M. will meet Thursday November 11th. Dinner at 6:30 p.m. Please bring a dish to share. Meeting at 7:30 p.m.


Gladbrook Legion Pancake Breakfast Come enjoy a pancake breakfast with the Gladbrook Legion in the Memorial Bldg as pheasant season opens on Sunday, November 14th, 7 a.m.-12:30 p.m. We have eggs, bisquits/gravy, sausage and drinks too. Come join us as proceeds will benefit the Boys State program.


Gladbrook Festival of Trees There will be a planning meeting for the “Festival of Trees” on Mon., Oct. 18th, 7 p.m. at the theater. Anyone that would like to help decorate for the Festival of Trees are encouraged to attend the meeting. If anyone has decorations the Commercial Club can use for the Festival of Trees call Jeanne at 473-2802 or 641-751-2039. The tree lighting will be Wed., Dec. 1st.


FALL Into Winter Sale The Gladbrook Young Women will be hosting a FALL Into Winter Sale. The sale will be Saturday November 13, 2010, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Gladbrook Memorial Building.


Siren Testing Garwin Fire Department will test the warning sirens on the 3rd Monday of the month. This will be a year-round policy.


Library Coffee Time Stop in and join us every Friday afternoon at the Gladbrook Public Library at 2 p. m. for coffee and conversation. We might even discuss a book or two. Bring a friend and hopefully brighten your day and ours!! Pat & Karen
