Gladbrook Jr. Auxiliary The Jr. Auxiliary will meet on Sun., Sept. 26th, 6 p.m. at the Memorial Building for their annual family potluck. Drinks will be furnished Halloween favors will be made for the Ronald McDonald House. Games and drawing for prizes. Chr. Kathy Vavroch, Molly Dahms, & Jamie Moore.

Gladbrook Auxiliary Sewing Bee Gladbrook Auxiliary will hold their Sewing Bee on Wed., Sept. 29 and Thurs., Sept. 30, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Gladbrook Memorial Building. Covered dish on Wednesday. Volunteers needed!


FALL Into Winter Sale The Gladbrook Young Women will be hosting a FALL Into Winter Sale. The sale will be Saturday November 13, 2010 at the Gladbrook Memorial Building. This will be open to those wanting to have a garage sale, sell crafts and to home based vendors. If interested please call Jackie at 641-473-2729 by October 16th, 2010 to reserve a booth.

Gladbrook Legion/Auxiliary Ham Ball Dinner Gladbrook Legion/Auxiliary will have their annual Ham Ball dinner with cheezy potatoes, homegrown sweetcorn, salads and dessert on Sunday, September 26, serving 11-1 at the Memorial Bldg. Carry-outs available, call cell: 1-641-751-2039. All proceeds to the maintenance of YOUR building.


Youth Bowling Sign up for youth bowling will be on Sat. Sept. 11. @ 9:30 am for the 10:00 shift and 12:30 pm for the 1:00 shift. Based on interest will determine whether we have two shifts. We do participate in the Grand Prix Scholarship Program. This is a way to have fun and earn money for college at the same time. If there is enough interest we are also considering a 8 week Adult/Youth League on Monday nights starting at 6:00 on Sept. 20. If you are interesting in these programs please give us a call at 641-473-2293. We look forward to seeing you on Sept. 11.


Music on the Front Porch Music on the Front Porch at Westbrook Acres in Gladbrook for September 21st (to be announced). Music begins at 6:30 p.m. Please bring your own lawn chair. Pop, popcorn, and hot dogs will be for sale. In case of bad weather it will be held indoors.


Gladbrook Farmer’s Market Gladbrook’s Farmer’s Market is every Wednesday evening 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. located at the Gladbrook United Methodist Church parking lot located across from Caseys. In case of bad weather the market will be held in the City Center. Gladbrook’s Farmer’s Market is open thru October.


Siren Testing Garwin Fire Department will test the warning sirens on the 3rd Monday of the month. This will be a year-round policy.


Library Coffee Time Stop in and join us every Friday afternoon at the Gladbrook Public Library at 2 p. m. for coffee and conversation. We might even discuss a book or two. Bring a friend and hopefully brighten your day and ours!! Pat & Karen
