By the time you read this sentence, spring has sprung. What a beautiful time of year. Winter is in the rear-view mirror. While this last month was unseasonably warm and was eerily uncomfortable, it is exciting for spring to be here. It being 60 degrees with no snow on the ground is meant for late March, not all of February.

Spring is the best. Days continue to grow longer, the warmth comes back, and maybe, just maybe, it will start to rain again. The dry soil could use even the slightest of recharge before planting or slightly after. For those less concerned about planting, it means a time to enjoy the outdoors more with less chances of cooler temperatures. Taking walks, gardening, and other outdoor parts of life are good for the mental psyche.

Spring is always a wonderful time to reevaluate what one does. Tying back into growing crops, it is time for a fresh start. Learn from what happened last year and start anew this year. Being given another chance to improve a process is good. Fortunately, in growing crops, it is easier to see how to improve one’s process. For the non-farmers, taking stock at this point and determining what to change for the better or what to improve is also helpful. The plants are awakening for a new year and so can humans.

The arrival of spring means summer is close. Planning the summer vacation is important. Whether it is visiting an old or new place, it will be worth the time to plan now. Once it gets warm, summer flies by and everyone wonders where the time went. Planning the vacation is of the utmost importance. Everyone travels more as the temperature increases, and no one wants to be the person left behind.

Hopefully, the temperatures will stay around their averages and soon enough, they will start to rise. This leads to more beautiful weather. This is the beginning of a beautiful time of year, and it is time to go enjoy it. For spring has sprung, and life starts anew.
