Laity Reflection: Six Reasons Why You Should Trust God

I had planned another topic for today’s reflection, but God brought this to you through Rev. Roger White’s FB page. It is from prayers.crossmap.com, which I hope you will look up and be encouraged by their writings. I have only taken these six reasons and written out the scriptures to bring them to you faster than your having to look them each up yourselves. That being said, I hope you will look them up, because the verses around each of these are also a rich part of your growing in your trust in God. In these extraordinary times we are reminded to rely on the only unshakeable, true source of our strength, God. Keep your eyes and heart filled with God’s Word! Six Reasons Why You Should Trust God 1. He knows you by name Isaiah 43:1 43But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. 2. He will fight for you. Exodus 14:14 14  The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace. 3. He thinks about you. Psalms 139:17 17  How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them! 4. He has plans for you. Jeremiah 29:11 11  For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. 5. He is your refuge Psalms 62:6-8 6  He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be moved. 7  In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.8  Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us. 6. He is always with you. Matthew 28:20 20  teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.
