(DES MOINES)–Rep. Lance Horbach (R-Tama) announced today that he will be joining Secretary of Agriculture Bill Northey (R-Spirit Lake) during two of the Secretary’s stops in eastern Iowa.    Horbach will join Northey at the Farm Bureau office in Grundy Center, 602 8th St. on July 2, 2009 at 11:00 am.  The two will also be at the Farm Bureau office in Toldeo, 115 N. Main St. at 1:00 pm.  Northey will be touring Iowa communities to listen to Iowans and discuss the tremendous opportunities and significant changes facing agriculture in the state. Rep. Horbach will join Northey on the stops and is encouraging people in eastern Iowa to be present and engage in a conversation with the two elected officials.   “This is a great opportunity for our communities to take part in an important discussion, regardless of whether they are farmers,” said Horbach.  “I am pleased to welcome Secretary Northey to Grundy and Tama Counties and I look forward to a great dialogue.”
