Pastor Gideon & Jhona Lyn Gallo become U.S. Citizens

Pastor Gideon & Jhona Lyn Gallo arrived in the United States on January 23, 2008 obtaining an I-94 immigration permit when Pastor Gideon became the pastor of a church in Iowa. In 2009, they renewed their I-94 permit & applied for an I-360 permit which when approved, would allow them to apply to change their status. In 2010, they applied to change their status from a religious visa to a green card. Their green cards were approved in 2011. Their green cards allowed them to live & work in the United States on a permanent basis. Green cards are good for 10 years. In 2019, they applied for United States citizenship which was approved on January 15, 2020. Pastor Gideon & Jhona Lyn received their U.S. citizenship at the Neal Smith Federal Building in Des Moines on January 15, 2020. Pastor Gideon’s sister, Rev. Lillian Jane Gallo-Seagren, & her husband, Rev. Kirk Seagren, attended the ceremony. The Gladbrook United Methodist Women will be hosting a reception on Sunday, March 8th from 2 PM until 4 PM in the Fellowship Hall of the Gladbrook United Methodist Church for the Gallo family. The public is invited & encouraged to attend & celebrate with the Gallo family on attaining their United States Citizenship.
