This event is in honor of Noah Ohrt, son of Ed and Kathy Ohrt, who fought Ewing’s Sarcoma for two years.Noah was a freshman in high school when he was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma cancer at age 15. Noah fought Ewing’s Sarcoma with courage and strength for two years. Noah became an Angel at age 17, on March 8, 2014. Ewing’s Sarcoma is a very aggressive primary form of bone cancer and can be located in the bone or soft issue around the bone. Noah loved the outdoors, fishing, kayaking, and dirt biking and snowmobiling and having his girlfriend Kyleah and friends over for a campfire. Noah enjoyed helping out at the family farm. Noah had an awesome sense of humor we all loved and compassion for others. Noah loved football and played for the Gladbrook-Reinbeck Rebels football team.

Noah was a big fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Noah was a member of the Gladbrook Gals & Guys 4-H club and enjoyed bowling on the Gladbrook Youth Team.

There are so many families fighting this horrific disease and we have been able to help other families going through what we went through with gas cards, food cards, money, toys and items, also donations to Stead Family Children’s Hospital and Childlife Program, Dance Marathon, American Children’s Cancer Organization, Sarcoma Alliance, Childhood Cancer Camp, and other Organizations helping families and funds towards research in hopes of new, less toxic treatment and clinical trials and hopefully one day a cure.

Tickets may be purchased at Hometown Family Market in Gladbrook and Trunck’s Country Foods in Reinbeck, or by contacting any of us.
