Timothy John Bullard, 41, rural Tama, admitted violation of terms of probation. His probation on a charge of failure to comply with sex offender registry requirements, 2nd or subsequent offense was revoked and he was sentenced to a prison term of 15 years. It is to be served concurrently with a five -year Marshall County sentence on a charge of violation of sex offender registry requirements. He was credit for any time already served in jail or community corrections. Bullard was cited in a probation violation report for failing to keep four appointments with his probation officer and for being arrested on a charge of driving while barred. He had been originally been charged for failure to comply with registry requirements on May 8,. 2017, by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office. Lori Elaine Evans, 45, Des Moines, pleaded guilty to on count forgery. She was sentenced to a suspended two-year prison term, a $625 fine was also suspended and she was placed on self-supervised probation. She was directed to pay a $300 probation supervisory fee and to pay $2,253 in restitution. A total of 8 additional counts of forgery and charges of of conspiracy to commit a non-forcible felony by planning or commission and f conspiracy to commit a non-forcible felon were dismissed. Evans was charged on April 21 following what was described as an on-going investigation by Meskwkai Nation Tribal Police Detective Jacob Molitor. She was accused of taking part in a much larger scheme after cashing two known fraudulent checks resulting in a total loss of $2,252 on Aug. 9, 2016. Tama County Magistrate Court
