Before Judge Mary Chicchelly in Tama County District Court in Toledo:
Barth Edward Walter, 50, Chelsea, was found in contempt of court. Her was sentenced to two 30-day jail sentences to be served concurrently and credited for 30 days already served. He was ordered to remain on probation. Walter was cited in a probation violation report for testing positive for methamphetamine and PHC on Aug. 30. He was accused of entering a restroom for testing accompanied by a Belle Plaine police officer. Walter is alleged to have been found having a syringe fileld with a yellow liquid hidden in his pants with intention to use it to enter a sample in the urine testing cup. The report goes on the charge Walter admitted using THC and methamphetamine on the day of the test. He pleaded guilty to assault causing bodily injury – domestic abuse on June 14, received a two-day jail sentence and was placed on probation. Walter was originally charged on Jan. 23 in Chelsea by the Tama County Sheriff’s Office. Triston Camacho, 22, Tama, pleaded guilty to simple assault and simple domestic abuse assault. He received suspended 30 day jail sentences on each charge and was fined a total of $176. He was placed on self-supervised probation, ordered to pay the $300 supervision fee to the Department of Correctional Services and to successfully complete the Iowa Domestic Abuse Program. Camacho,22, Tama, was charged in the 1000 block of South Prospect Drive on April 19 by Toledo Police sgt. Dan Quigley and in the 800 block of Oswego Street by Tama Police Officer Daniel Suftin.
Before Judge Mitchell E. Turner Billy Joe Evans, 46, rural Elberon, pleaded guilty to 5th degree criminal mischief. He was sentenced to one day in jail, credited fr one day already served and assessed $100 court costs. Evans was originally charged on Aug. 13 with 4th degree criminal mischief for allegedly breaking a van windshield with a Crescent wrench by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Neil Frizzell. Dawn Marie Murray, 47, rural Elberon, entered a written pea of guilty to disorderly conduct. She was fined and assessed court costs totaling $188. Evans was charged on Aug. 13 for allegedly throwing a fan at a television causing the screen to break. She was charged by Tama County Deputy Sheriff Neil Frizzell.
