Gladbrook Halloween
The Gladbrook Commercial Club has made big plans for Halloween night for the city. Halloween is Thursday, October 31 and be ready for some spooky (and some not spooky) activities around town. Most activities will be on Main Street but there are a couple other activities around. You will have time to go do the traditional door to door trick or treating plus enjoy the activities on Main. There is fun for all ages – 2 to 92! You can start the evening with a supper at the Methodist Church hosted by the United Methodist Women. Hot dogs and chips will be served from 4:45 to 5:45pm for all spooks and goblins at no cost. Trick or Treating around the community will be 6 to 8pm along with the activities on Main Street. The city library will start at 7pm and go to 9pm with their activities and haunted tour. Main Street will be blocked off to traffic for the activities which include a hay bale maze and a haunted trailer for the young children (fun & non-scary). A fire truck and ambulance will be parked on the street for everyone to check out. This year Trunk or Treating will take place on Main Street. Drive your vehicle down to Main Street, park as usual, pop the trunk, and be ready for the spooks and goblins to visit you at your vehicle for a treat. It’s always fun to see decorated vehicles and dressed up adults but not required.
