Interior repairs and window work is planned for the Tama County Veterans Affairs Building in Toledo. Darrell Neidermann, chair of the County Veterans Affairs Commission, told the board of supervisors on Monday, April 29. The work will be paid for by funds already in the Veterans Affairs budget he said. The office is located at 219 West High St. Supervisors approved the Veterans Affairs quarterly report for January-March totaling $5,460 for operation expenses and grave care. Supervisors also approved the recorder’s office quarterly report showing a total if #26,463 in fees collected and submitted to the treasurer, a liquor sales license for Fox Ridge Winery and claims totaling $270,206 including expenses for rural road gravel.
