Tama County farmers Justin and Anna Miller, Gladbrook, won the opportunity to direct $2,500 dollar donation from the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program sponsored by the Monsanto Fund, to the Gladbrook Public Library.

“The library will use the funds to help build up the children and teen sections of the library, which is out dated and in need of new resources” says Beth Wegner, Gladbrook Library Head Librarian. “We are very appreciative of Justin and Anna, and the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program”.

The Millers didn’t need to think long after they received word that their entry had been selected to know that they wanted to give it to the Gladbrook Public Library. “We are so grateful to Beth Wegner and what she has done with the library. She has turned it into a place for both children and adults to enjoy, featuring programs for children of all ages and adults as well. Our daughter Kinley truly enjoys coming to the Gladbrook Library”. “We believe our public library has had a positive impact on the Gladbrook community”.

Since its inception in 2010, the America’s Farmers Grow Communities program has awarded millions to community non-profit organizations throughout rural America.

The purpose of making of America’s Farmers Grow Communities is to make positive impact on communities throughout the country by partnering with farmers to support the causes that are most important to them.
