Ehrig McTurk Post and Unit #127 of the American Legion hosted the Third District Fall Conference on Saturday, September 22 at the Memorial Building. Over 75 Legionnaires and Auxiliary members from across the Third District were in attendance to hear from State officers and committee members on how to better serve our Veterans, communities and to support programs for our children and military families.

The Gladbrook Legion Auxiliary was awarded several national awards presented by State Vice-President Kelly Elliott. Lisa Reinhard does a great job promoting Americanism and won the President’s Choice Award at the State Convention with her entry forwarded to National. At that level, she was awarded the Dorothy Pearl Americanism Award for the best Unit award in the nation. In Central Division, Gladbrook received top honors for VA&R, Community Service and Jeanne for Leadership.
