On February 17th the GMG FFA chapter competed in the sub district FFA career development event at Ellsworth Community College in Iowa Falls, Iowa. Garret Groth competed in the Job Interview contest. This contest requires a student to find and apply for an agriculture job, create a cover letter for the job, and a resume. The judges then use this to interview the contestant for the job. Parker Welton competed in the Ag Sales contest, in which he developed a sales presentation for an agriculture product. He then attempted to sell the product to the judge. Both members did a great job with Groth receiving a silver rating and Welton receiving a Gold rating and advancing to district competition. The district convention will be held in Riceville on March 4th, 2017.
